The Chicago Bears have strengthened their defensive line by signing former Pro Bowl defensive tackle who was released by the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.
His contract is a three-year deal worth $43.5 million, with $28.5 million fully guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
While general manager Ryan Poles has focused on improving the offensive line this offseason—adding center Drew Dalman and acquiring guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson via trade—reinforcing the defensive front was also a priority.
After securing defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo to boost the pass rush, the Bears turned their attention to the interior by bringing in Jarrett. He joins a defensive line that already features Andrew Billings and Gervon Dexter.
