NFL Shocker: Dolphins Lose Veteran Superstar, the Anchor of Miami’s Offensive Line, One of the NFL’s Most Respected LinemenRetires

The Miami Dolphins are eager to turn things around after a disappointing 8-9 season that left them out of the playoffs. Much of the team’s issues stemmed from injuries, with star wide receiver Tyreek Hill battling a persistent wrist problem and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sidelined by another concerning head injury.DolphinsBut Hill and Tagovailoa weren’t the only ones struggling physically. Veteran left tackle Terron Armstead recently opened up about his own injury challenges, revealing just how serious his knee problems had become.

“My doctor told me, ‘Terron, honestly, you need a knee replacement. No injection or surgery will fix it,’” Armstead shared with Pro Football Network. “I left that appointment, went home, and just sat with the reality of it — I never wanted to walk away from football with permanent damage.”

That emotional toll seems to have played a major role in his decision to retire from the NFL.

According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques, “After an impressive 12-year NFL career and five Pro Bowl appearances, Terron Armstead has officially retired. He made the announcement during a celebration attended by teammates past and present, including Drew Brees, Calais Campbell, Tua Tagovailoa, and Tyreek Hill.”

Armstead’s retirement is a significant blow to Miami, as he was expected to play a key role in protecting Tagovailoa and keeping him healthy moving forward.

Now, the question becomes: how will the Dolphins respond to this latest setback
