Auburn cornerback has reportedly suffered a knee injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season, according to Nathan King of Auburn Undercover, who broke the news on Saturday afternoon. This marks the second straight offseason in which a young Auburn cornerback has dealt with a significant knee injury during spring camp; last year, Tyler Scott also hurt his knee in spring and missed all of 2024.Williams is not expected to recover in time for the 2025 season. However, Auburn is well-stocked at cornerback with players like Kayin Lee, Jay Crawford, Raion Strader, and fellow freshman Blake Woodby. Lee and Crawford, both returning starters, each played over 500 snaps in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus.
Williams was a highly sought-after recruit for Auburn in the 2025 class, ranking as the No. 367 overall player and the No. 35 cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
