NFL Draft: Dolphins officially ConfirmsTua Tagovailoa Replacement… details

With the NFL Draft rapidly approaching, experts continue to struggle to predict how things will unfold in what’s shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable drafts in years. The main source of uncertainty lies at the quarterback position. Unlike last year’s class, which featured clear top-tier talents like Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, this year’s QB prospects lack the same consensus appeal.

Because of this, some teams might opt to avoid taking quarterbacks early, especially since there aren’t many considered worthy of top-first-round picks. As a result, players from other positions could climb draft boards, while quarterbacks may slip further down.

This scenario could benefit the Miami Dolphins, who may be looking for a reliable backup or eventual successor to Tua Tagovailoa. Tua has missed 14 regular-season games in five years due to injuries, making the quarterback position a potential concern for the team.

In ESPN analyst Jordan Reid’s latest mock draft, he predicts Miami will select Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers. Once a favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick, Ewers’ rise was interrupted by injuries. Still, he’s known for his accurate passing and ability to meet high expectations. As one of the most highly rated recruits ever, Ewers made headlines when he skipped his senior year of high school to enroll at Ohio State early, capitalizing on early NIL opportunities.

After transferring to Texas, he revitalized the Longhorns’ struggling program. Under his leadership, Texas claimed its first conference championship since 2009, reached the College Football Playoff for the first time, appeared in the SEC Championship, and notched its first playoff victories. Despite his injury setbacks, Ewers left Texas as one of its most decorated quarterbacks. While he may not be selected at the top of the draft, he still has a path to NFL success—possibly starting in Miami.
