Things haven’t gone as planned, so there’s a chance the Titans may trade former first-round pick Treylon Burks during the NFL Draft. Tennessee is expected to use its first-round pick on a new quarterback to potentially replace Will Levis, which leaves Burks’ future with the team uncertain as he enters the final year of his rookie deal. One possible landing spot is Kansas City, where the Chiefs might view him as a developmental piece—especially as they deal with off-field concerns surrounding Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy. Burks could add depth behind Marquise Brown.
But the Chiefs aren’t the only ones who could be interested. Several other teams might be open to giving Burks a shot, and two stand out as strong fits.
Ravens Aiming to Strengthen Lamar Jackson’s Receiving Corps
The Ravens went into last season hoping their trade for Diontae Johnson would give them a reliable third option at receiver. Unfortunately, Johnson didn’t pan out and has been more of a distraction than a contributor. As a result, Lamar Jackson had to rely heavily on tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely—players ideally used in more specific situations.
Although Baltimore is bringing in DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, he’s viewed more as a short-term fix in pursuit of a Super Bowl. To build for the future, they still need a wide receiver with long-term upside. Burks could be a smart, low-risk addition since he’s still on his rookie deal, and the Ravens wouldn’t be giving up much to take a chance on him.
