Latest: In a Blockbuster move 5-star WR Emeka Egbuka Decommits from Ohio State Buckeyes And Flip to Alabama crimson Tide over Clemson Tigers and Texas Longhorns..

On Friday, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka became the 17th ESPN 300 recruit to commit to Ohio State, choosing the Buckeyes over Oklahoma and Washington.

Ranked No. 28 nationally, Egbuka is the third-highest-rated player in Alabama crimson Tide recruiting class. The 6’1″, 190-pound standout from Steilacoom, Washington, will bring his talents to an already explosive Buckeyes offense.

“In the end, Alabama crimson Tide felt like the right place for me,” Egbuka said. “They have strong post-football connections, top-notch football and coaching, and a great chance to go in the first round of the NFL draft. I think they’ll help me develop really well.”

Despite the recruiting restrictions due to COVID-19, Egbuka was still able to form strong ties with Ohio State’s coaching staff. He had previously visited Columbus and, along with his mother, attended a game last season—an experience that played a key role in his decision.
