BREAKING: Standout WR And Versatile Star Decommits from Louisiana Tech, Flips Commitment To Rams over Kentucky….

Tru Edwards, a standout wide receiver from Louisiana Tech, has signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent, opting not to follow through on his previously announced transfer to the University of Kentucky, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Edwards had originally committed to Kentucky in January 2025 with the goal of strengthening the Wildcats’ receiving unit. However, he never officially joined the roster, as he did not sign a National Letter of Intent. When A Sea of Blue inquired about his status in March, it was revealed that eligibility concerns had delayed his enrollment, putting his future with Kentucky in question.NCAA Football: Louisiana Tech at ArkansasAt Louisiana Tech, Edwards made a strong impression, posting 84 catches for 986 yards and eight touchdowns during the 2024 season, earning First-Team All-Conference USA honors. Over his collegiate career, he totaled 112 receptions for 1,307 yards and eight scores.

Recognizing his potential, the Rams signed Edwards after the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, adding another weapon to their offense and offering Edwards a chance to prove himself at the professional level.

Edwards’ shift from a potential SEC standout to an NFL player highlights the unpredictable nature of college athletics and the value of adaptability in chasing professional dreams.
