Breaking: Buffs Flip Another Huge Commitment From Rival, Details in comments ⬇️

Four-star transfer wide receiver Hykeem Williams, who had previously visited Syracuse, has committed to Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders.

Williams, a sophomore at Florida State, was reportedly considering multiple schools, including Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and potentially Miami, but ultimately chose the Buffaloes. His decision came after speculation that Colorado was becoming the front-runner in his recruitment, a competition that may have included Syracuse’s new head coach Fran Brown.

In the 2024 season, Williams recorded 16 catches for 187 yards and a touchdown for a struggling Seminoles team that finished 2-10. A former five-star recruit from Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, he had once been ranked among the nation’s top 30 high school prospects.

While Syracuse missed out on Williams, the team continues to pursue other wide receiver targets in the transfer portal. Notably, they are seen as a strong contender for Johntay Cook II, a former five-star wideout who briefly joined Washington after two years at Texas. Cook re-entered the portal in April, and analysts believe Syracuse could land him to bolster their depth, especially after losing standout Trebor Pena to Penn State.
