BREAKING: Jets Land Commitment Of Game-Changing 6-Foot-4 Receiver in Major Multiyear Deal

The New York Jets have brought in a new weapon for their offense, signing former Kansas wide receiver Quentin Skinner as an undrafted free agent, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Skinner secured a $185,000 guarantee, the highest the Jets offered to any undrafted player this offseason, per Spotrac.

The 6-foot-4, 203-pound receiver inked a three-year deal worth $2.97 million with New York after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

During his four-year college career at Kansas, Skinner played in 49 games and logged 80 catches for 1,584 yards and 11 touchdowns. While he wasn’t heavily targeted—just 140 times over his last three seasons—he made his mark as a deep threat, averaging between 17 and 21.7 yards per target in that span and 19.6 yards per catch overall.

Despite modest reception totals—never more than 29 in a single season—Skinner’s big-play ability has caught the attention of analysts. One Jets commentator noted his explosive 22.3 yards per catch in 2024, calling him an “immediate juice” guy for an NFL offense.

Skinner also brings versatility and toughness, two traits NFL teams value in depth receivers. He contributed on special teams throughout college and is known for his sure hands—only three drops on 141 career targets. Additionally, he’s praised for his willingness to block in the run game.

His 4.51-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day showcased his athletic potential. With size, speed, special teams experience, and a physical playing style, Skinner has a legitimate shot to earn a spot on the Jets’ 53-man roster.
