Just In: Spencer Strider Set to Return Ahead of Crucial…

The Atlanta Braves could soon see a key addition to their roster, as Spencer Strider continues making promising progress in his recovery. With the team vying for control of the NL East, the latest update on Strider offers renewed hope for bolstering their pitching rotation.

On Saturday in Pittsburgh, Strider completed his second bullpen session of the week—his first was on Wednesday. Mark Bowman of MLB.com reported via X (formerly Twitter) that Strider’s recovery from a left hamstring strain, which landed him on the 15-day injured list on April 21, is moving in a positive direction.

“Strider threw another pen today,” Bowman shared. “The Braves will evaluate him tomorrow before deciding whether a rehab start is needed before activation.”

The next step depends on how Strider’s hamstring responds to these sessions. Saturday’s outing marked another milestone in a cautiously managed recovery plan aimed at preserving his long-term health. Atlanta’s coaching staff is closely monitoring his strength and endurance before making a final decision.
