Former New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made it clear Tuesday that he isn’t ready to retire, despite speculation.
Earlier in the day, a fake social media account pretending to be ESPN’s Adam Schefter claimed the 32-year-old was ending his career after stints with the Giants, Browns, Rams, Ravens, and Dolphins. Beckham quickly debunked the false report, saying, “Not done yet… thanks for the concerns and have a blessed day.”The three-time Pro Bowler, who remains a free agent, played nine games for the Dolphins last season, making nine receptions for 55 yards. While his days as a No. 1 receiver may be behind him, he still hopes to join a team for the 2025 season. Over his 10-year career since being drafted 12th overall by the Giants in 2014, Beckham has totaled 575 catches, 7,987 yards, and 59 touchdowns.
Where he’ll land next remains uncertain, but he isn’t ready to call it a career.
Giants Taking It Slow with Malik Nabers
A highly anticipated training camp matchup between Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers and Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner will have to wait.
Head coach Brian Daboll announced that Nabers won’t take part in this week’s joint practices with the Jets as the team eases him back from a lingering toe injury. The rookie also suffered a shoulder injury last month that cut a practice short, leading the Giants to limit his workload. Nabers sat out the preseason opener against the Bills and spent Tuesday’s session rehabbing.
The LSU product, who recorded 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games as a rookie, is expected to be fully ready by Week 1.
