Indiana women’s basketball has seen significant roster turnover this offseason, with six players entering the transfer portal — Yarden Garzon, Lilly Meister, Lexus Bargesser, Sharnecce Currie-Jelks, Julianna LaMendola, and Henna Sandvik.
Additionally, the Hoosiers bid farewell to graduate seniors Chloe Moore-McNeil, Sydney Parrish, and Karoline Striplin.
In response, head coach Teri Moren has been actively rebuilding for the 2025-26 season, securing commitments from Alabama transfer guard Chloe Spreen, Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year and four-star recruit Maya Makalusky, and Missouri’s Miss Basketball and four-star talent Nevaeh Caffey. Now, Indiana adds another name to the mix: former Arkansas guard Phoenix Stotijn.
Stotijn, who announced her commitment on Sunday night via social media, chose Indiana over a final list that included Arizona State, Clemson, Illinois, and Michigan.
As a freshman at Arkansas, the 5-foot-9 guard played in 21 games, starting 12. She averaged 7.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting 31.7% from the field and 26% from beyond the arc. She reached double figures in scoring four times and notched four or more assists in five games.
The Razorbacks finished the season 10-22 and were part of a four-way tie at the bottom of the SEC standings with a 3-13 record.
