BREAKING: Hurricanes Fall to No. 1 Notre Dame, As Star Player Reaches Career High Details

The University of Miami women’s basketball team suffered a tough loss against top-ranked Notre Dame (24-2, 15-0) on Thursday evening, falling 82-42.

The Hurricanes (13-13, 3-12) struggled offensively and fell behind early, unable to close the gap throughout the game.

Cameron Williams led Miami with her seventh double-double of the season, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds.

Notre Dame set the tone early, opening with a 10-0 run and building a double-digit lead less than five minutes into the game.

Miami answered with six straight points, narrowing the gap to four with 3:38 left in the first quarter. However, the Fighting Irish closed the period on an 8-0 run, leading 18-6 after 10 minutes of play.

The second quarter saw Notre Dame extend their advantage, scoring the first eight points of the period to go up 26-6. By halftime, Miami trailed 38-13.

Notre Dame maintained their dominance in the second half, and despite Miami’s efforts, the Hurricanes ultimately fell short.

Miami will return to action on Sunday for their final regular season home game at the Watsco Center against Wake Forest at noon.
