Breaking: No.1 American player Commits to Ohio State Football Over Tennessee , BYU And Georgia. More

The NFL is known for delivering drama, compelling narratives, and surprising turns.

In its latest cinematic-style twist, commissioner Roger Goodell’s league rolled out a “Freaky Friday”-esque scenario.

Michigan’s standout defensive tackle Mason Graham is on his way to Ohio after being selected fifth overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, Ohio State’s defensive star Tyleik Williams is headed north to Michigan to join the Detroit Lions, who picked him 28th overall.

After years of battling in one of college football’s most intense rivalries, the two are now essentially trading places.

“It’s definitely crazy,” Williams said Friday. “I’ve spent the last four years learning to hate this state.”

Before choosing Graham, the Browns had selected five Michigan players over the past 25 years.

During that same time, the Lions drafted four Ohio State players, including three—Jeff Okudah, Jashon Cornell, and Jonah Jackson—in the 2016 NFL Draft.

While it makes for some fun trash talk and maybe a few friendly bets come November, crossing over to a rival school’s territory is pretty common in the NFL.

“I think we can set our differences aside and come together for the team’s success,” Graham said. “It’s all about building Cleveland and winning.”
