At this point, I’d be more shocked if an offseason “Hot Seat” article didn’t mention Mike Norvell’s name.
Norvell has essentially overhauled the roster, and FSU will have a fresh look in 2025, led by transfer quarterback Thomas Castellanos from Boston College. We’ll get an early glimpse of how hot his seat really is when the Seminoles host Alabama in Week 1.

- 2026 three-star linebacker Karon Maycock has committed to Florida State.
- Maycock, a standout from Miami Central, has already visited FSU for Junior Day on February 1st and is scheduled for an official visit on June 20th. A decision could be imminent.
- Four-star wide receiver Efram White, a top-150 prospect, has been committed to FSU since December 2023 and has also locked in a June 20th official visit.
