The highly sought-after five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan is expected to choose between in-state rivals Alabama and Auburn as his recruitment heats up.
Morgan, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound standout from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama, is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 20 overall prospect in the class of 2026 (On3). Over the past two seasons, he has hauled in 106 catches for 1,784 yards and 18 touchdowns.
While other major programs like Florida, Clemson, Georgia, and Colorado are also in the mix, it seems his recruitment is narrowing down to an Iron Bowl showdown, with Alabama and Auburn emerging as the main contenders.
Morgan visited Alabama’s spring showcase on April 12, and previously took an unofficial visit to Auburn under head coach Hugh Freeze. According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Alabama is favored to land Morgan, although Auburn remains a strong challenger as the visit season ramps up.
Morgan’s family has strong ties to Alabama, with a high level of support for the program. However, Auburn is seen as a serious contender, having recently signed a top 10 class, including nine of the top 15 players from Alabama in 2025.
Morgan has official visits planned to Colorado (May 9), Georgia (May 16), Clemson (May 30), and Florida (June 6). His final two visits will be to Auburn (June 13) and Alabama (June 19).
