Just In: Alabama is where I belong ‘Nick Saban’ Return’s to Crimson Tide to take on new Role in Front office

Nick Saban has addressed recent rumors about a possible return to coaching, and he’s made it clear—he’s not coming back. At 73, Saban is preparing for another season as an analyst on ESPN’s *College GameDay*, now two years removed from retiring as Alabama’s head coach.

Speculation about a comeback has persisted, despite Saban’s success in the media world. During a segment on *FOX News*, he joked about the rumors, but he offered a more serious take during an appearance on *The Pat McAfee Show*.

“These rumors just came out of nowhere,” Saban said. “First of all, Miss Terry wouldn’t let me. Second, I’ve never even thought about it. I have no idea where people are getting this from.”

One of the main figures fueling the speculation was sports commentator Colin Cowherd, who recently suggested Saban could be linked to NFL teams like the Cincinnati Bengals or Cleveland Browns. While Cowherd seemed to be theorizing, his confidence in the idea helped the rumors gain traction.

Saban, who had a brief and less-than-successful NFL stint years ago, has nothing left to prove. He appears content enjoying his retirement, spending time with his family, and contributing to the sport as a respected media presence.

It’s safe to say—any talk of Saban returning to the sidelines can be put to rest.
