Kirby Smart delivers a massive win in the spring portal window
The spring transfer portal is in full swing, and Georgia football has been actively pursuing top talent. Head coach Kirby Smart had been engaging with multiple prospects and hosting visits, but as of Sunday, the Bulldogs hadn’t locked down any new additions.
That changed in a major way late Sunday night.

Three High-Impact Additions in One Day
Securing even one transfer is cause for celebration, and landing two in a single day is rare enough. But Georgia took it a step further by pulling in *three* top-tier transfers—all at the same time.
According to On3, UGA simultaneously secured commitments from McCray, Modozie, and Horton—each a highly ranked portal target. Modozie was considered the best overall transfer available, while McCray and Horton were seen as top players at their respective positions.
These additions couldn’t come at a better time. With needs at EDGE, defensive line, and running back—especially after Branson Robinson’s exit—these three are expected to step in and contribute immediately.
This marks one of the biggest wins of the portal season so far and reinforces just how dominant Kirby Smart continues to be in the recruiting game.
