JUST IN: Giants unleash One of The NFL’s Most Explosive Offense. To Fix Missing Piece.

The New York Giants’ offense has fallen flat over the past two seasons, with consistent struggles not only reaching the red zone but also capitalizing once there. Their inability to finish drives has been a major factor in their lackluster performance.

However, things may be looking up in 2025. The team made a key offseason addition to their backfield—a bruising runner built to punch through defenses and find the end zone more often.

In 2024, the Giants had the worst red zone offense in the league
New York’s red zone woes were glaring last season. They converted only 43.18% of their red zone possessions into touchdowns—the lowest rate in the NFL. The offense also managed just 2.6 red zone trips per game, ranking 28th, and averaged a meager 16.1 points per game, placing them second-to-last in scoring.Dec 15, 2024; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll reacts during the second half against the Baltimore Ravens at MetLife Stadium. New York may have found a hidden gem in fourth-round draft pick Cam Skattebo out of Arizona State. The powerful and dynamic running back put up monster numbers in 2024, racking up 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, along with 605 receiving yards and three more scores.Cam Skattebo, GiantsSkattebo’s physical style stood out—he forced 103 missed tackles (second-most in the country) and averaged 4.09 yards after contact per carry, ranking eighth among college backs.

His toughness and relentless running style make him an ideal weapon near the goal line. Skattebo has a natural instinct for finding the end zone, as shown by his 24 total touchdowns last season. If he can bring that same impact to the pros, he could be exactly what the Giants need to turn their red zone struggles around.
