Alexander Isak has shared a message following Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup celebrations.
The striker found the net two weeks ago as the Magpies secured a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Wembley Stadium. After returning from international duty with Sweden, Isak joined the open-top bus parade through the streets of Newcastle. With the transfer window approaching, Arsenal remains interested in bolstering their attacking options, and Isak’s name continues to surface. However, they face competition, as Liverpool is also reportedly keen on the forward.
Newcastle is determined to keep hold of their star striker, with reports suggesting they would demand at least £150 million for a potential summer transfer.
Isak’s latest update hints that he may not be looking to leave St James’ Park anytime soon. Following Saturday’s Carabao Cup parade, he took to Instagram to share photos and videos from the celebration, captioning them: “What a memorable day! Love you all!” alongside black and white heart emojis.
Speaking on stage during the parade with Ant and Dec, Isak expressed his emotions about the occasion:
“It’s impossible to describe this feeling. I had a goal ruled offside just a minute earlier, but the one I scored was probably the biggest of my career, especially since it secured the win. It felt amazing.
“The support means everything to us, but seeing how much it means to the fans makes it even more special. We’re so happy to give this to the city and our supporters.”
