Just In: Khaman Maluach Sends “Heartfelt” Parting message To Franchise. Details ….

The Duke Blue Devils basketball team recently experienced notable news from the transfer portal following the conclusion of the 2024–25 college basketball season.

As the transfer window closes on Tuesday, players are rushing to make their final decisions.

Duke has already lost several players—some to the transfer portal and others to the NBA Draft. However, head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff remain confident that their 2025–26 roster is built to contend at the highest level.

One of the latest and more meaningful departures isn’t due to on-court statistics, but rather the player’s leadership and locker room impact. Known as a “glue guy,” this player was instrumental in helping Duke reach the 2025 NCAA Final Four.

Stanley Borden announced his decision to enter the transfer portal, sharing a heartfelt message expressing gratitude to his coaches, teammates, and fans.

Khaman Maluach, the 7-foot-2 center from South Sudan, played one season at Duke, averaging 8.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

The Blue Devils had a strong season, finishing with a 35-4 record. They reached the NCAA Tournament Final Four but were eliminated by Houston in San Antonio. Duke lost only one conference game all year.

Fellow Blue Devil, Borden, who came to Duke from Turkey, was a four-time letter-winner. In May 2023, the ACC honored him with Duke’s Top Six for Service Award for his efforts in organizing a 7.8-kilometer charity run benefiting earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

His final game was against Wake Forest, where he played two minutes and tallied a blocked shot.
