JUST IN: Ohio State recruit wide receiver Now Receive Major Boost

Jamier Brown, a standout wide receiver from Wayne High School in Ohio, continues to draw national attention as one of the most talked-about recruits in the 2027 class. A verbal commit to Ohio State, Brown now holds the No. 10 overall spot in On3’s updated “On300” rankings for the class of 2027.

Known for his explosiveness, he’s rapidly refined his route running and catching ability, establishing himself not only as one of Ohio’s fastest athletes but also as one of its premier receivers.

Charles Power, On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings, praised Brown’s progress: “He won a national title in the 60-meter dash as a freshman, so there’s no question about his speed. Over the past year, he’s really developed into a complete receiver.” Citing Brown’s impressive season with over 1,000 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns, Power added, “His ball skills and route-running have taken a big step forward.”

Brown committed to Ohio State in November 2024 and has since emerged as the cornerstone of the Buckeyes’ 2027 class.
