JUST IN: Rams to Land Packers Star WR in Potential Blockbuster Trade

The Los Angeles Rams captured the NFC West title last season and pulled off a playoff upset over the Minnesota Vikings. However, their 10-7 regular-season record reflected some of the difficulties they faced, particularly with injuries on offense. Star wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua both missed extended time due to various injuries.

To address their passing game and overall health concerns, the Rams moved on from Kupp during the offseason. They filled the void by signing three-time All-Pro Davante Adams, who had recently been released by the New York Jets.

With Adams now joining forces with Nacua, the Rams boast one of the NFL’s most dynamic receiving tandems. Still, they may be looking to bolster their depth at the position.

Rams Linked to Trade for Packers WR Romeo Doubs

Green Bay Packers wideout Romeo Doubs has been the subject of frequent trade rumors throughout the offseason. A native of Los Angeles, Doubs missed an opportunity to play against his hometown team last year due to a suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.

Despite public claims from both sides that they’ve moved past the incident, Doubs continues to be mentioned in trade speculation. The Packers’ decision to select two wide receivers in the 2025 NFL Draft has only fueled the chatter that Doubs could be dealt.

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox named the Rams as a top potential destination:

“The Los Angeles Rams might consider taking a flier on Doubs to add depth behind Davante Adams and Puka Nacua. With Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson both departing this offseason, and passing game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant—who worked with Doubs in Green Bay during his rookie season—on staff, there’s a connection.”

Among all wide receivers selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Doubs (a fourth-rounder) is tied with first-rounder Drake London for the most career touchdown receptions (15).

Will Green Bay Actually Trade Doubs?

While it’s easy to imagine the Rams showing interest in Doubs, it’s far from certain that the Packers are willing to let him go. Despite entering the final year of his rookie deal, Doubs remains a key part of Green Bay’s offense.

He’s developed strong chemistry with quarterback Jordan Love, who looks his way more than any other receiver. Last season, Doubs finished third on the team in targets (72) behind Dontayvion Wicks (76) and Jayden Reed (75), despite appearing in only 13 games—three missed due to injury and one due to suspension.

In short, Doubs is a trusted target for Love, and as long as he remains under contract, it’s unlikely the Packers will entertain trade offers.
