The Buffalo Bills have secured another key player by extending defensive end, contract. The team announced on Saturday that Rousseau has agreed to a four-year, $80 million extension through the 2029 season, which includes $54 million in guaranteed money, per reports.

This marks the second of three four-year extensions Buffalo has handed out in the past two days. On Friday, the Bills signed linebacker Terrel Bernard to a four-year, $50 million deal ahead of his final rookie contract year. Later on Saturday, they also extended long snapper Reid Ferguson, the team’s longest-tenured player since 2016, before he entered free agency.Bills agree to contract extensions with Rousseau, FergusonAdditionally, last week, Buffalo locked in wide receiver Khalil Shakir with a four-year, $60.2 million contract extension.

Rousseau has been a pivotal part of the Bills’ defensive line since being drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Over four seasons, he has recorded a team-high 25.0 sacks, including a career-high-tying eight sacks in 2024.

The former Miami (Florida) standout wrapped up the 2024 season with 53 tackles, 16 of which were for loss, along with eight sacks, three pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. His 24 quarterback hits that season also marked a career best.
