San Miguel Beermen are determined to bounce back after a disappointing PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.

To strengthen their roster for the Philippine Cup, the team acquired big man JM Calma from NorthPort Batang Pier in a trade approved on April 2.

Before his injury in April 2024, the 6-foot-6 forward averaged 7.9 points and five rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, NorthPort aims to build on its strong showing in the Commissioner’s Cup, where it reached the semifinals.
