Roster Changes: Georgia Bulldogs Officially Confirmed Commitment Of Two top prospect To bullpen Amidst..

Following a 2024-25 NCAA Tournament appearance, Georgia Basketball is undergoing significant roster changes. Star freshman Asa Newell is entering the NBA Draft, and seniors Dakota Leffew and Tyrin Lawrence have graduated. Additionally, key contributors like lead guard Silas Demary have left via the transfer portal.

Despite the losses, head coach Mike White has been active in reshaping the roster. Georgia already added 6’8 forward Kanon Catchings (from BYU), guard Justin Bailey (Wofford), and high-scoring freshman Jeremiah Wilkinson (Cal). On Monday, two more backcourt players joined the team.

Jordan Ross (Saint Mary’s):

Ross, a 6’3 guard, started full-time for Saint Mary’s, averaging 8.3 points and 2.6 assists per game. While his shooting percentages were modest—38% overall and under 30% from three—he had standout performances, including 19 points vs. Arizona State and 15 in the NCAA Tournament win over Vanderbilt. Though not the most efficient scorer, he has proven he can compete against high-major teams and will add depth to Georgia’s rotation.

Marcus “Smurf” Millender (UTSA):

Millender, a 5’11 guard, was a key contributor for UTSA, averaging 14.9 points and 3.3 assists while hitting 44% of his threes on high volume. He had nine games with at least 20 points, including a 25-point outing against Rice. Due to his size, he’ll likely run the point for Georgia. Paired with the 6’1 Wilkinson, the team may rely on smaller guard lineups.

With Ross and Millender now in the mix, Georgia is expected to pursue one more addition, likely a frontcourt player, as they continue to rebuild after several key departures.
