Five years ago, the world mourned the loss of Kobe Bryant, one of basketball’s most legendary players, in a tragic helicopter accident. He served as an inspiration to countless individuals and athletes.On Saturday, January 25, the first episode of Kobe: The Making of a Legend, a three-part documentary.

However, MSN reports that the second episode, scheduled for release on January 31, is expected to be the most controversial. It features details from a recently uncovered police interview with the 19-year-old hotel employee who accused Bryant of assault.

In her chilling account, the woman describes the incident:

“When he took off his pants, I started to back away and push his hands off me. That’s when he began to choke me.”

When a detective asked how forcefully Bryant was choking her, she responded in newly released footage:

“He wasn’t choking me hard enough to stop me from breathing, just enough to make me feel scared.”

Although legal guidelines required the victim’s anonymity to be protected, Bryant’s attorney, Pamela Mackey, mentioned her name six times in court at the start of the trial.

As a result, the accuser faced intense media scrutiny, received death threats, and was pressured to disclose her sexual history publicly. Mackey chose not to participate in the CNN documentary.
